Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has spoken about his long absence from the Indian music industry, saying he misses his Indian fans even though he does not miss working there. It has been nearly a decade since Atif last recorded a song for the Indian music industry, but his connection with listeners across the border appears to have remained strong.

Interestingly, Atif does not view the last ten years entirely negatively. He believes the absence from Bollywood gave him more time to focus on his own music and explore himself as an independent artist. His latest album, “Subah Aye Na,” was released on July 31, 2026, almost 18 years after his previous album “Meri Kahani.”
