Tehran Could Launch Surprise Drone Attacks on California in Retaliation for US Strikes on Iran

PSBKG News – In a confidential security bulletin released last month, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) cautioned law‑enforcement agencies across the United States about a potential escalation of hostilities by Tehran. The agency warned that Iran could retaliate for any U.S. military strikes by deploying surprise drone attacks on California, the most populous state on the West Coast. The alert, issued through the Los Angeles Joint Regional Intelligence Center (LARIC), highlighted that Iranian forces possess a growing inventory of unmanned aerial vehicles capable of striking U.S. infrastructure and civilian targets.

The FBI’s analysis indicates that these drones could be launched from Iranian territory and flown over international waters before descending on their targets. “The possibility of a coordinated drone attack on California is a real and present danger,” a senior FBI analyst told Reuters. “We are urging local and federal agencies to increase vigilance, review their air‑space monitoring protocols, and coordinate with the Department of Homeland Security.  The bulletin comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran following a series of U.S. airstrikes in the Middle East. While the U.S. has not confirmed any direct retaliation plans, the FBI’s warning underscores the need for proactive measures. PSBKG News will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as new information becomes available.

Law-enforcement agencies are reviewing the FBI’s guidance, strengthening cyber-defense measures, and preparing emergency response plans for potential drone incursions. The FBI’s alert has prompted a review of California’s civil‑defense posture, with state officials convening emergency meetings to assess vulnerability and response capabilities. The situation remains fluid, and PSBKG News will keep readers informed of any changes or official statements from U.S. intelligence and defense agencies.
