The agreement addresses concerns raised by petrol dealers over how they would be reimbursed for the Rs100 per liter subsidy given to eligible consumers.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Dealers Raise Reimbursement Concerns<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Petrol pump owners had earlier expressed concern that they could not afford to provide the Rs100 discount without a clear payment mechanism. The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) had asked the government to guarantee timely reimbursement so that filling stations would not have to bear the cost of the subsidy themselves. The latest agreement is expected to remove this uncertainty and help dealers continue providing subsidized petrol.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Rs100 Per Liter Petrol Relief<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Under the government scheme, eligible motorcycle, rickshaw, and Qingqi users can receive Rs100 per liter relief on up to 20 liters of petrol per month. Owners of vehicles with engines up to 800 cc can receive the same relief of up to 30 liters per month. This means the maximum monthly benefit is Rs2,000 for two and three-wheelers and Rs3,000 for eligible small cars.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Payments to Petrol Stations<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The government has said payments to fuel stations will be settled quickly through the banking system. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar directed that payments to petrol stations should be settled within 24 hours through the State Bank of Pakistan.
