PIMS Hospital nursery in Islamabad, accompanied by a news-style headline about three women being arrested after an attempt to abduct a newborn was foiled.

Attempt to Take Newborn From PIMS

An attempt to abduct a newborn from the nursery of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad was foiled after three women were arrested. According to police, the women were caught while allegedly trying to take the newborn out of the hospital nursery. Security personnel and hospital staff stopped them before they could leave the premises.

Three Women Arrested

The three suspects were taken into custody after being caught inside the hospital. They were initially handed over to the Karachi Company Police Station. Police later transferred the women to the Women Police Station for further investigation and registration of a case.

Hospital Security Alerted

The incident was stopped with the help of hospital security staff and other relevant personnel. The quick response prevented the newborn from being taken out of the hospital, according to police officials. Investigators are now looking into how the women entered the nursery and what their alleged intentions were.

Investigation Underway

Police have started investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the attempted abduction. The authorities are expected to question the arrested women and examine the hospital’s security procedures as part of the investigation. Further details about the suspects and the motive were not immediately available in the initial report.

Focus on Newborn Security

The incident has once again highlighted the importance of strict security measures in hospital nurseries. Newborn babies require special monitoring, particularly in crowded public hospitals where large numbers of patients and visitors are present every day. Hospitals generally rely on identification checks, staff supervision, and controlled access to protect newborns and prevent unauthorized movement.

Case to Be Investigated

The three women remain under investigation following their arrest. Police will determine the exact circumstances of the incident and whether anyone else was involved. Authorities are also expected to establish how the suspects reached the nursery and attempted to take the baby out of the hospital.
