PLRA Announces New Service Fees in Punjab

The Punjab Land Records Authority has made things official. A fresh notification, dated July 14, 2025, is now out. It brings revised PLRA service charges 2025 Punjab for the new fiscal year, and yes, they’re already active. The move affects everyone, from property buyers to banks to everyday people needing a simple Fard or mutation certificate. PLRA’s update falls under the PLRA Act 2017, which gives it the legal room to adjust charges as needed

What You’ll Pay for a Fard or Mutation

Let’s talk numbers. If you’re requesting a Fard, mutation, or girdawari copy through Express Service, you’ll now pay . That’s for those who want things done faster than the standard route.

But if you’re okay going the regular HSMS (online system) way, then the cost is just PKR 800. Quite the gap, but it’s about speed, not just paperwork.

Fees for Copies and Verification

Latest News: Need a copy of a registered deed? That’ll cost you PKR 1,300 now.

If you’re going for certified verification under the updated PLRA service charges 2025 Punjab, you’ll be charged PKR 900 if you’re an individual. For banks or agencies, that same service is priced lower at PKR 600. Not huge numbers, but they add up for institutions processing dozens of cases.

Mutation Charges, Express vs Standard

Here’s where it gets a bit heavier. The Express Mutation service is now priced at PKR 9,700.

But if you go through a bank or stick with standard procedure, the fee is much lower, PKR 1,100.

If you’re transferring land in a cooperative society or development authority, it’s PKR 2,500. And if a commission is appointed via e-registration, that’s PKR 6,100. These aren’t minor changes.

E-Registration Portal, New Charges

For property sales and purchases via the e-registration portal, PLRA will charge 0.1% of the land value under the updated PLRA service charges 2025 Punjab.

However, there’s a minimum fee of PKR 3,300, no matter how small the transaction. For other portal-based activities, the same PKR 3,300 applies.

Also, housing societies coming onboard for e-registration will be charged PKR 5,000 per property, but only after the first 10 properties. Those first 10? Exempt.

Why the Change, and Why Now?

This revision isn’t random. According to PLRA and the Board of Revenue Punjab, these fee updates are part of a broader digital push. The idea is to streamline public access, modernize land records, and improve the authority’s service infrastructure.

More tech. Better reach. Cleaner processes. But yes, a little more money out of pocket for those who need their paperwork quickly.

What You Should Know

If you’re planning any land transaction soon, buying, selling, or verifying, it’s worth reviewing the updated PLRA service charges 2025 Punjab first. Especially if you’re leaning towards Express services. A visit to the PLRA official website or your nearest Arazi Record Center will clear things up. Better to know now than get surprised at the counter.
