Suspects Taken to Lahore
Police have taken two suspects in the Hina Javed murder case from Rawalpindi to Lahore for DNA testing as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding her death. The suspects, Hina’s husband Faisal Asghar Imam and domestic worker Zeeshan, were taken under tight security for the forensic process. Police are expected to bring them back to Rawalpindi after the tests are completed.
DNA Evidence Could Be Important
DNA testing has become an important part of the investigation because police have already collected forensic samples from Hina’s body during the post mortem examination. Investigators will compare the available samples with those taken from the suspects. The results could help establish whether any biological evidence connects them to the crime scene or the circumstances surrounding Hina’s death.
Post Mortem Raised More Questions
The case became more complicated after the initial post mortem revealed several injuries. The report mentioned a fractured neck bone, along with injuries to Hina’s ribs and hip. Blood was also reportedly found around her heart. However, the exact cause of death could not initially be determined, and additional samples were sent for forensic examination.
Husband and Domestic Worker Under Investigation
Police have arrested Hina’s husband Faisal Asghar and their domestic worker Zeeshan in connection with the case. A Rawalpindi court has already granted investigators three days of physical remand to question the two suspects and collect further evidence. Police have also recovered items they believe may be relevant to the investigation, including a wire and other material from the scene.
Investigation Looking at Different Angles
Investigators are not relying on DNA evidence alone. Mobile phones belonging to Hina and members of the household have reportedly been taken into custody, while fingerprints and other material from the residence are also being examined. Police prepared 19 evidence parcels after a detailed examination of the crime scene. The investigation team is now comparing forensic findings with statements and other available evidence.
Polygraph Tests Also Planned
Along with DNA testing, investigators are reportedly planning polygraph examinations for the two suspects. Such tests may be used as part of the wider investigation, although their findings would still need to be considered alongside other evidence. Police are also checking different accounts given during the investigation and comparing them with forensic findings before reaching any conclusion.
Father in Law Also Being Questioned
Hina’s father in law, Asghar Imam, has also come under investigation. Police have recorded his preliminary statement and are examining whether he had any involvement in the incident. He has not been arrested so far, but police have said further action could be taken if evidence establishes his involvement.
What Happens Next
The DNA results could provide another important piece of evidence in the Hina Javed murder investigation. However, investigators will still need to compare those findings with the post mortem report, digital evidence, witness accounts, and material recovered from the residence. For now, the case remains under investigation, with police continuing to work on establishing exactly what happened and who was responsible for Hina Javed’s death.
